The Betsy Ann Lambert-King Fund
Betsy was diagnosed with Lymphoma, given two months to live, and treated via chemotherapy. It turns out Betsy did not have Lymphoma. In fact the doctors were not sure what caused Betsy's symptoms. Over time the chemotherapy eliminated the symptoms and Betsy resumed life as best she could.

The chemo eliminated the effectiveness of Betsy's saliva glands. She had trouble digesting food and over several years her physique and health declined. She eventually had an unrelated accident and her weakened body was unable to make a full recovery. Betsy passed away in Sept. of 2004.
The Betsy Ann Lambert-King Fund is set up to provide research dollars to the University of Miami's Cancer Biology research program. This fund is named in the memory of my Grandmother, Betsy, or Grand-Ma King as we used to call her. The intent of this fund is to help advance research in Cancer Biology so that others will have quicker, more concise and more beneficial treatment than Betsy.
All donations to this fund are 100% tax deductible. You will receive a tax donation letter from UM/Sylvester following your donation. It is also important to note that 100 cents of every dollar you donate will go towards fighting cancer.
You can donate sending a check to the address listed below. Please make the check payable to the "University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center" and put the name "Betsy Ann Lambert-King Fund" on the memo line. We will make sure you get a receipt for your taxes.
